GVMS Declarations
Goods Movement References (GMR) for RoRo crossings, ready before arrival
The Goods Vehicle Movement Service (GVMS) links customs declarations to the physical movement of vehicles at UK RoRo ports such as Dover, Folkestone, Holyhead and Harwich. Hauliers must have a valid Goods Movement Reference (GMR) before boarding the ferry or train, or the vehicle will be turned away.
We build the GMR for you, attach the right import, export or transit declarations (MRNs / EORI / T1) and make sure the GMR is finalised in time for check-in. This service is available for both inbound and outbound RoRo movements.
How It Works
- 1Send us the truck plate, trailer number, route and declaration MRNs
- 2We create the GMR on GVMS and attach the relevant declarations
- 3GMR finalised and shared with driver / haulier before port arrival
- 4We monitor status and resolve any issues during the crossing
